The Golf Club at Terra Lago North Course in Indio, California is the marquee 18-hole championship layout of Terra Lago’s 36-hole desert oasis. Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley in 1999, the North blends dramatic elevation changes with the natural Indio foothills and is largely free of course-side housing. Though challenging, it’s widely regarded as more approachable and fun than the South Course. Expect elevated tee boxes, blind shots, slick, undulating greens, and the signature island-green par-3 15th. Four lakes frame key holes on 14, 15 and 18, and the entire round tests every facet of your game. The wind—strongest in April and May—keeps you honest from start to finish. Course stats: Par 72, 7123 yards, slope 135, rating 74.3. From 1999–2002, it hosted the PGA Tour Skins Game with legends like Tiger Woods, Fred Couples, Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson. Practice facilities include a driving range, a chipping area with a bunker, and a putting green; the clubhouse hosts a pro shop and bar/grill with Skins Game photography.
