Shepherd's Crook Golf Course, located at 351 Green Bay Rd in Zion, Illinois, and owned and operated by Zion Park District, is an 18-hole, par-71 layout that spans roughly 6,800 yards. A nod to Irish links and the golden era of 1920s-30s design, the course was crafted by Keith Foster to follow the natural contours, with tall fescue, creeks, and very few trees framing wide-open fairways. Five sets of tees let players of any ability shape their round and choose their preferred yardage. The design promotes strategic shot-making, from biting winds off Lake Michigan to forgiving yet challenging landing areas.
