Sammons Golf Course

2727 W Adams Ave, Temple, Texas 76504
Named after the original architect John Sammons, Sammons Golf Links is a historic 18-hole municipal course in Temple, Texas. Since opening in 1922, this central Texas icon has evolved, most notably with a 2011 renovation that refreshed Emerald Bermuda greens and rerouted the nines to return to the clubhouse. Measuring 6,016 yards from the back tees, a par of 70, the layout rewards accuracy over length, with a tight fairway rhythm and only about a dozen bunkers, most greenside. Water features abound—lakes and creeks cross several fairways—and the mature trees frame every shot. Two very different nines offer contrasting strategies: test-your-club choices on the longer holes and precise approaches on the shorter, risk-reward par 3s, some of the longest in Central Texas. The course has a legacy and affordability that keeps it popular with locals and visitors alike. Located at 2727 W Adams Ave, Temple, TX 76504, Sammons Golf Links invites you to experience a classic municipal test. Book your round with GolfWithBrio today.
