PGA West - Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course

56-150 PGA Boulevard, La Quinta, California 92253
Nestled in the Palm Springs oasis of La Quinta, California, PGA WEST's Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course is a public, 18-hole layout that captures the spirit of Nicklaus design. Alongside two Nicklaus eighteens, this par-72 track measures 7,204 yards with a 143 slope and 75.3 rating, opened in 1987. Dramatic elevation and mountain-inspired mounding frame carpet-like fairways rising above rough, waste bunkers and desert scrub. Most holes invite aggressive drives, but second shots demand precision as fairways narrow toward guarded greens. The greens are large but treacherous from surrounding trouble; the course favors your short game with up-and-downs not being easy on slick surfaces. Signature hazards include split fairways, peninsula and island greens, and the memorable par-5 15th with one of the course's two island greens. While water is present, it's not abundant but can bite at inopportune moments. After golf, enjoy Ernie's Bar & Grill in the Tournament Clubhouse, or base yourself at La Quinta Resort & Club.
